When you travel internationally it's always a good idea to know
about where you're going. Personally I really enjoy new cultures because they
have many differences between them. You also can learn the most from them.
Tanzania has a ton of cultural diversity to offer. This country has over 128
different languages spoken and most are derived from the Bantu family. In order
to embark on this trip to Tanzania my group and I have had to learn basic
Swahili. Languages are so fascinating because they are all so different in
speech but all the same in meaning.
Another part of culture that I enjoy is food. Everywhere you go
there is always something new to try. I love to try new and uncommon fruits or
vegetables because it's intriguing to try a mysterious fruit. When traveling if
you want a fulfilling experience then do everything you want so you leave
without regret.
The Tanzanian Shilling is so awesome! Each paper bill has an
iconic African animal on it. I find this so intriguing because it’s out of the
ordinary and it's new. Every time I have gone somewhere I try to collect some
of that currency because it's specific to that country. As our trip nears I am
becoming very excited and intrigued about what I will learn.
