CGA 2014

Hi my name is Nathaniel Badger and I’m a sophomore at Battle Mountain High School.  I have participated with Children’s Global Alliance the past two years and have traveled with them to Nicaragua and Cambodia.  Both of these trips have taught me valuable lessons and helped me become the person I want to be.  I participate in Cross Country, Nordic and Track.  This was my first year that I lettered in Cross Country.  I was very proud of this because it was one of my goals for the past year.  At school and on my teams I have become more confident and removed from my comfort zone because of CGA.
Children’s Global Alliance is a non-profit organization that gives kids the opportunity to experience the world.  CGA takes kids to third world countries and gives them the experience of a lifetime.  You learn and become enlightened about things you never could have imagined.  These trips teach you about yourself and let you be yourself.  You always feel safe with your group and never alone at any point.  CGA builds bonds and creates lasting friendships.
This year I am headed to Tanzania to work at a school.  At this school we will be helping teach students a variety of subjects and improving their lives.  I’m excited to participate in this service trip because I love to make peoples lives better.  On this trip I hope to give every ounce of hope and passion towards these kids.
